Gilt and enamel lapel badge for a Civil Defence Instructor who had trained at a national course level at an Air Raid Precautions School ( A.R.P.S. ) . The distinction between attendance at a national course was made with the award of a gilt badge as opposed to a silvered finish for those attending local courses. Half moon lapel fitting to reverse with manufacturer's marking indicating manufacture by ' H.W.Miller '. Good, bright condition and becoming more difficult to acquire.
