Tank Destruction Badge in Silver (Sonderabzeichen für das Niederkämpfen von Panzerkampfwagen durch Einzelkämpfer) or also called 'Panzervernichtungsabzeichen'. The award was instituted by Adolf Hitler on 9 March 1942 and was awarded to individuals of the Wehrmacht who single-handedly destroyed an enemy tank with a handheld-weapon like the Panzerfaust. Complete with all three prongs and original metal backing plate, there is regrettably no protective backing cloth present. Stunning original example in good used condition.
