LNER Railway service lapel badge.

Oval, brass and enamel, lapel badge indicating employment with the London North Eastern Railway . Half moon lapel fitting to the reverse. Railway service badges were based on a generic design with only the intials of the company to identify the individual railways, they were to be worn in and out of railway uniform. Manufacturer marked to the reverse 'Fattorini & Sons, B'ham' and individually numbered.. Clean badge with undamaged enamel but with some surface wear.
