Italian, WWII Era Enameled Badge, Mare Nostrum, JF Silver

Original era manufacture. A well made patriotic badge with the Italian colors at top, from which is suspended a small crowned badge displaying the letters MN. I believe the letters stand for Mare Nostrum (Our Sea) a patriotic notion at the time, regarding Italy's control of the Mediterranean Sea. Measures 22 x 30 mm, small crack in the white portion of the enamel.
