Swiss, 19th Century Shako, 7th Regiment

Original era manufacture. A French inspired shako of the mid to late 1850's, featuring a black wool covered cardboard body with a leather top, liner, visor and pull-down chinstrap. Silver color, starburst emblem with regimental number 7 on the front, below a white-green metal  cockade and a simple red wool pompom. Sound condition for its age, no moth damage.
