WW1 Glasgow & South Western Railway war service badge

A scarce original First World War period 1914-1918 'Glasgow & South Western Railway lapel badge'; gilt and blue enamel title surround, 'Crowned Railway Service' to the centre on white enamel ground, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.A.Wylie & Co London' and official issue number 'W 3213'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Diameter 27mm.
