A scarce original First World War period 'Earley and District Defence Force Volunteer Training Corps lapel badge'; blue enamel title surround displaced by the central Crowned crossed rifles; the reverse impressed with indistinct maker's details for 'H.SLINGSBY NUNEATON'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, minor service wear, gilt finish remains bright. Diameter approx 26mm.
