A scarce original First World War period '1914 Reigate and Redhill Volunteer Training Corps lapel badge'; blue enamel title surround, the embossed centre depicting the former Arms of Reigate Castle gateway, bearing motto 'NEVER WONNE NE NEVER SHALL' in front of an oak tree depicting the chequered shield from the Coat of arms of the House of Warenne 'Earl of Surrey'. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, minor service wear to enamel. Diameter approx 26mm.
