Description

Genuine and well preserved rare Belgian WW2 MKII steel helmet for a member of the Belgian First Infantry Brigade 'Brigade Piron'. Helmet shell is nicely maker marked by RO & CO (Rubery Owen & Co Ltd of Leeds) and dated 1943. Liner is a 1943 dated example by BMB (Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd of Dagenham) and the leather parts show wear and two tears. Complete with matching webbing chin strap. The exterior shows a period applied Belgian flag in black/yellow/red colors, the sign for Belgian fighting under Allied command.
