Guilloche Blue Enamel Butterfly Brooch Numbered by J A & S

A scarce original eary 20th century superb qualty 'Butterfly silver pin brooch'; large pale blue translucent enamel wings, the head and abdomen in contrasting dark blue, the reverse impressed with maker's details ' J A & S' possibly 'J Aitkin & Son Birmingham', 'STERLING SILVER' and embossed number '1085. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel almost perfect except for a very minor line to top left wing.viewed through a lens. Height approx 21mm. Width 38mm.
