A scarce original circa 1940's period fine quality 'Somerset Light Infantry regimental association lapel badge'; blue translucent enamel gilt oval title surround, the voided centre bearing a representation of the cap badge, a bugle strung from Mural Crown with 'XIII' between the cords surmounted by 'JELLALBAD' battle honour scroll'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.GAUNT LONDON'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no stress maks or damage to the enamel, an excellent example. Height approx 29mm.
