Description

Cast brass title in great condition During the interwar years, the regiment was involved in policing duties and maintaining internal security in British India. • It was also deployed in frontier regions, such as the North-West Frontier Province, to counter tribal insurgencies and maintain British influence. During the North African campaign Dogra units participated in battles against the German Afrika Korps and Italian forces. The Burma Campaign saw some Dogra units playing a significant role in defending India from Japanese invasion and in the eventual Allied counteroffensive. Middle East and Italy: Dogra troops were deployed in the Middle East and Italy, where they fought alongside Allied forces in tough conditions.
