LW 'Frontflugspange für Aufklärer' in Gold

WH (Luftwaffe) 'Frontflugspange für Aufklärer' in Gold (Squadron Clasp for Reconnaissance Personal in Gold). The Squadron Clasp for Reconnaissance Personal was introduced by 'Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring' on 30 January 1941. The clasps were awarded in three grades of, Bronze for twenty operational flights, Silver for sixty operational flights, and Gold for one hundred ten operational flights. This badge is a very nice early 'Buntmetall' (tombac) example. The clasp is nicely maker marked on the back by the company 'Imme & Sohn' in Berlin. The clasp has naturally a functional pin & catch construction. The clasp still has most of it's original golden finish left and is in very good condition. Hard to find clasp in stunning condition!
