'Freikorps Sudetenland' Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß). The 'Sudetendeutsches Freikorps' (Sudeten German Free Corps, also known as the Freikorps Sudetenland) was a paramilitary nationalist organization founded by 'Konrad Henlein' composed of Czechoslovak ethnic Germans, with pro-Nazi sympathies who operated in Czechoslovakia from 1938 to 1939. They played a part in Hitler's successful effort to occupy Czechoslovakia and annex the region known as Sudetenland into the Third Reich.A dye stamped, nickel alloy box buckle, the buckle is showing the runic letters of 'F.S.' (Freikorps Sudetenland or Freiwilliger Schutzdienst) on a hammered background. The buckle is not visible maker marked or dated. Rare original buckle in good condition!
