Army (Heer) belt buckle by Dr. Franke & Co 1940

Classic mid war steel constructed army belt buckle with leather tab in light worn condition. A beautiful buckle showing crisp details. Maker marked on the leather tab but faded. The reverse of the buckle shows the maker mark of  'Dr. F.&Co. 1940' (Dr. Franke & Co, Lüdenscheid dated 1940). Classic 1940 transitonal piece, contructed in steel, but still having aluminum pins.
