Japanese WWII, 6th Class Order of the Golden Kite, Cased

Original era manufacture. A very fine example of this silver medal with a gilded falcon. Complete with its issue case, and original ribbon. Normal age and wear, fading to the ribbon as shown.The Order of the Golden Kite was a purely military decoration awarded for bravery and the only Japanese order outlawed by the Allies at the end of WWII. This particular award may date prior to WWII as the issue case is domed rather than flat.  A very nice example with lots of gilding remaining on the falcon.
