Description

These attractive Romanian medals - which were issued in order to commemorate the crusade against communism (or: 'Kreuzzug gegen den Kommunismus') were instituted on 1st April 1942 and are often found among German medal-groups since it was liberally bestowed on Romania's allies. The award on offer here is a truly very detailed (and moderately used- and period-mounted!) example that has a neat (albeit minimally tarnished) age-patina: it came mounted onto its original (specifically folded- ie. neatly pre-confectioned!) Austrian-styled ribbon as issued. Simply a neat medal-set from one of Germany's allies that originates from a German private-household and that was with certainty awarded to a German soldier or NCO: hard to find a nicer preserved example for a more interesting price!
