US Civil War, Cavalry Enlisted Shell Jacket & Shoulder Scales, Cincinnati Depot, Size 3

Original period manufacture. An issue enlisted shell jacket for Cavalry, made at the Cincinnati Ohio depot, size marked 3. Overall the jacket is in sound condition for its age, no mothing to mention, only a few sleeve seams opening up a bit, and wear to the lining as shown. Included with the sale, and on the jacket at the time of our purchase, is a pair of original brass enlisted shoulder scales. These have the key attachment at the top, but do not have the brass loop at the bottom, being held in place with white thread. The exterior of the coat is clean, no staining, just lightly faded from age, with the golden yellow piping now more of a cream color. Please note, the saddle shown in the last photo is not included in the price. I just thought it would be fun to show them together.
