French 19th Century Infantry Briquet & Frog

Original period manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 20 inches in length, faint stamp on the obverse ricasso. The blade is very clean showing minor staining and pitting. Cast brass one piece grip and guard, black leather bumper intact at the base of the blade. Sound black leather bodied scabbard with brass throat and chape. Scarce, black leather frog with a white painted obverse. A very nice set displaying light age and wear.
