Description
Light worn army M42 pattern steel helmet with textbook army decal (ET-pattern) on the left side. Complete with liner and full-length draw string. Chin strap is also present, maker marked and dated 1941. Liner dated 1943. Leather remains supple and strong for its age and remains in overall good condition. This is a very special helmet having the manufacturing code ckl spelled backwards, an error of that time, and the database shows other known examples with this same lot numner. Maker marked by lkc, size 64 (lkc64). Lot number 2989. .
