Original era manufacture. Nice quality buckle of chromed alloy, with darkened lettering. Pair of 2.25 inch darkenedbrass finish Submariners dolphins on the front.Commissioned in 1944, the USS Tirante (SS-420) had an amazing first war patrol, earning for her commander the Medal of Honor, and the boat a Presidential Unit Citation.She continued to serve the USNavy until sold for scrap in 1974.
