Austrian M1858 Heavy Cavalry Sword, PD Luneschloss Mfg

Original era manufacture. A massive heavy cavalry sword issued by the Hapsburg Empire, and titled the M1858. Made by the German firm, P.D. Luneschloss, Solingen, with a GF proof on the reverse ricasso. The blade measures 36.5 inches in length, runs straight and true, with a dark steel patina finish. No nicks in the cutting edge, no real corrosion issues, just a dark steel patina covering most of the blade. Massive steel guard with a matching patina finish, heavy ribbed wooden grip which is missing its leather covering. Near dent free heavy steel scabbard, again with a matching patina finish. A scarce sword in today's world.
