US M1892 30-40 Krag Bayonet, 1898 Dated Blade

Original period manufacture. The blade is dated 1898, good Spanish American War date, decent wood grips with no cracks or chips. The blade, guard and pommel have been cleaned with a wire brush, not the best choice in one's stable of tools. But it is what it is, and priced accordingly. The steel scabbard escaped the wire-wheel wielder, but does show numerous dents and dings to the body surface, with an even steel patina. The blade tip looks to have been shortened a bit.
