Danish M1854 Socket Bayonet, Kyhl Spring Catch

Original era manufacture. Polished steel socket bayonet with a 19 inch blade. Very unusal mounting mechanisim on the bottom of the socket called the Kyhl spring catch (Kiesling Page 116). Captured during the 1848 rebellion and later issued to the Danish troops. Very odd bayonet. Shows normal age and wear with dark patches to the steel surface. Looks to have unit markings under the collector tag.
