Japanese Meiji Pattern Army EM Canteen

Original era manufacture An early aluminum bodied canteen developed under the reign of Emperor Meiji and issued with minor changes, canvas instead of leather suspension into the early 1930s. Cylindrical canteen body with a brown painted finish. The leather suspension harness and strap are dry but sound, the cork bodied metal stopper is present but the attaching strap, while full length, is broken.
