French Model 1831 Short Sword, Navy Marked

Original era manufacture. Brass handled, Gladius type short sword with an anchor proof on the guard and brass scabbard throat. Very clean blade showing scattered age mottling to the surface, no corrosion issues. Sound black leather bodied scabbard with a brass throat and chape.
