Small sized Third Reich Christmas Ball with Swastika (Weihnachtskugel). National Socialism and Christianity with the Jewish Jesus as the son of God do not go together. The festival, which was deeply rooted in the population, was therefore reinterpreted under National Socialism. The Christmas tree was seen as an offshoot of the Germanic world ash tree and stylized as the 'symbol of German Christmas'. Since 1934, the swastika was officially permitted as a Christmas decoration.
