Waffen-SS 8 Years Long Service Medal (SS-Dienstauszeichnung 3.Stufe). On '30 January 1938' Adolf Hitler instituted the SS Long Service Awards to reward SS personnel who served honorably and were on active service. The awards were established in four classes for four, eight, twelve, and twenty-five years service respectively. Nice bronze washed third class award for four eight service, the medal comes its original confectioned blue ribbon. The medal is an early so-called type I medal, made by the company of 'Deschler' from München. The medal is in very good condition showing stunning details.
