Wehrmacht Officer's Lion Head Sword

Wehrmacht (Heer) Officer's Sword/Saber (Säbel für Offiziere). The lion head type sword has a molded, black, bakelite grip with the correct horizontal silver wire wrap. The grip is in overall good condition with no chips or cracks. The obverse rounded tip, shield shaped, languet shows an embossed Wehrmacht style eagle. The blade is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Alcoso' from Solingen, the blade is also marked by the distributer from Osnabrück. The blade is in very good condition. The scabbard has been repainted long time ago, see photos. This sword was recently found in a housecleaning in Germany and was not part of a collection before.
