French 19th Century Epee Pattern Officers Sword

Original era manufacture. Straight, 34 inch, polished steel blade with a double blood groove measuring 13 inches on each side of the blade. No markings to be seen, clean overall, no pitting, just some light staining and clouding from age. Simple single branch guard and pommel with a twisted wire grip. The guard folds flat on one side, on the other can be seen mounting holes for an emblem, possibly 2nd Empire. Dent free chromed steel scabbard with a single carrying ring. Typical age and wear.
