Nice set of 2 Awards & Documents, from Gefreiten 'Kurt Comes', member within the '14./Gren.Rgt.698' (Grenadier-Regiment 698). On 1 August 1942, Kurt was awarded with the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords (Kriegsverdienst Kreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern), the zinc type War Merit Cros 2nd class comes with orginal carton pouch of issue, maker marked by 'Carl Poellath' from Schrobenhausen. On 30 January 1944, Kurt was awarded with the German Eastern Front Medal (Medaille für die Winterschlacht im Osten), this document was personally signed by General 'Heinrich Georg Nickel', a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oakleaves. The Ostmedal is nicely maker marked and complete with carton pouch of issue by 'Foerster & Barth' from Pforzheim. Both documents are in good used condition and have been folded. Nice set of Wehrmacht Awards & Documents as found together!
