Kriegsmarine Officer's Sword

Kriegsmarine Officer's Sword (Säbel für Offiziere). The lion head type sword has a molded, white, bakelite grip with the correct horizontal gold wire wrap. The grip is in overall very good condition withoud chips or cracks. The obverse rounded tip, shield shaped, languet shows an embossed Kriegsmarine style Anchor, the reverse has a foldable locking plate. The blade is well marked by the manufacturer 'E&F Hörster' from Solingen, the blade is in very good condition. The sword is having a leather scabberd and is complete with its original portepee and leather hangers as found together. Stunning original Kriegsmarine sword in very good condition!
