Description

RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst) Enlisted Man's Hewer (RAD Hauer für Mannschaften und Unterführer). The RAD Hewer was officially approved for wear in August 1934 and was issued to RAD-Unterführer (EM/NCO's). The hewer has nicely textured stag horn grips. The blade bears the well known factory darkened RAD motto 'Arbeit Adelt' (Labourennobles). The blade is well marked with the etched manufacturer's logo and script from the firm 'Eickhorn' from Solingen. The blade is in good used condition. The black painted scabberd is having nickel/silver parts and is in good used condition. Nice and hard to find original RAD hewer in good used condition!
