Wehrmacht Cavalry fur lined Greatcoat

Rare fully sheepskin lined large sized Overcoat for Wehrmacht Cavalry horse carriage drivers (Mantel für Fahrer vom Bock). The Greatcoat/surcoat belonged to the standard equipment of every soldier. The greatcoat could be worn in cold weather or rain and all other conceivable situations. Heavy quality field-grey woolen construction greatcoat, it is fully lined with sheepskin lining material. This is an extra wide greatcoat with leather reinforcement panels, specially intended for cavalry drivers making them able to sit on the couch of a carriage while wearing the overcoat. The greatcoat has two rows of six front closure buttons and the greatcoat also has a single metal hook and eye at the neckline. The greatcoat is showing a maker marking and size tag inside the inner-pocket. The greatcoat is in good condition showing some normal traces of usage, there is one small damage on front showing a burn hole. Rare and hard to find original cavalry type greatcoat!
