WH (Heer) M42 reissue SD Combat Helmet

Wehrmacht (Heer) M42 Reissued Single Decal Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42). The stamped sheet steel construction M42 has been period reissued and received a new layer of paint and a typical reissue type decal made by 'Methner and Burger'. The helmet retains almost all of its typical reissue type rough textured fieldgrey paint, the decal is retained for about 95%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is an M31 leather liner, the ring is dated 1943. The liner is a large size '58' and complete with original liner drawstring. The leather is in good condition. The maker and serial number on the shell are hard to read due to the new layer of paint but looks to beh maker and size 'ckl66' which indicates production by the company 'Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG' in Thale/Harz. The helmet is complete with its original leather chinstrap, the chinstrap is nicely RB.Nr. marked and dated 1944. Nice and honest original M42 combat helmet in very good condition!
