Austrian Occupation Medal

Austrian Occupation Medal (Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 13 März 1938). The Commemorative Medal of 13 März 1938 was the first of the 'Anschluss' (Annexation), medal series and was instituted on 1 May 1938, for award to civilians and military personnel who participated in the annexation of Austria into Greater Germany. Nice example which has been period mounted on a so-called 'Einzelspange' (Single Mount). It comes with its functional pin/catch attachment for mounting it on a tunic. Nice example in very good condition!
