French M1832 Cavalry Sword, Klingenthal Mfg

Original era manufacture. A very solid example of the 1832 pattern French cavalry sword, made by Klingenthal. Polished steel blade measures 36 inches in length, running straight and true with no issues. The blade surface is bright, showing an old service sharpening to the edge, no corrosion issues. Three branch brass guard with a leather wrapped grip, bound with a single strand of twisted brass wire. Heavy steel scabbard which is pretty much dent-free, single suspension loop, and sports an old gray over paint to the surface.
