WH (Heer) Artillery Officer's Visor Cap

WH (Heer) Artillery Officer's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is a nice Officer's example. The celluloid sweat-diamond ('Raute') is missing, the cap is size '58' marked on the leather sweatband. The leather sweatband is in used condition, see photos. The Visor cap is piped in the red 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Artillery personnel. The cap is complete with its original hand-embroidered cocarde and late-war zinc type cap-eagle. The cap shows normal traces of usage and some small damages, see photos, the cap has a great 'Sattelform' shape. This cap would look great in an Artillery or Sturmgeschütz display. Stunning original visor cap in good used condition!
