WH (Heer) Medical M31 Canteen and Cup

WH (Heer) Medical/Mountain Troops M31 Canteen and Cup (Feldflasche 31 und Trinkbecher). The standard issue M31 canteen was introduced on 23 March 1931. This is a so-called 'Labeflasche' with a 1 liter capacity as issued to mountain troops and medical personnel, complete with carrying harness and shoulder strap assembly. The canteen and leather straps are all in overall good used condition with normal age and usage toning, there is some minor damage to the leather around the buckle attachement, see photos. The felt cover fits very well around the canteen and looks like it has never been opened so I did not open it to prevent any damage. The canteen is complete with its original black painted aluminum cup which is nicely marked and dated 'SSL 42' indicating production in 1942. Nice original canteen in good used condition!
