Japanese Private 1st Class Type 98 Service Tunic

Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) Private 1st Class Type 98 Service Tunic. The standard issue service tunic for colder weather conditions, used extensively in China and also issued and worn in the Pacific Theater during the colder winter months. Fully lined, olive-brown wool tunic having a five button, single-breasted front closure, the buttons are slightly rusted. Collar tabs for a Private 1st Class are sewn to the collar. The tunic is showing nice ink-markings on the lining material, see photos. Nice original Japanese service tunic in very good condition!
