British WWII Machete & Leather Scabbard, 1945

Original era manufacture. The blade measures 15 inches in length with most of the protective black paint finish removed. No corrosion issues, with a factory cutting edge. Black composition grips secured with five copper rivets. Maker marked and dated, J.J.B. 1945Molded leather scabbard body with a rawhide reinforced throat with copper rivet reinforcement. Brown leather belt loop with pommel straps, the straps are pliable and not dry, maker marked and dated McBrine 1943 .
