An exceptionally rare Soviet/Russian flight uniform dates from 1940 worn by Russian air force pilots during World War II.This specimen is a one-piece winter flight suit, made of heavy cotton in a characteristic brown-beige color, designed to provide protection from the harsh conditions in the cockpit of a fighter plane.The uniform has a large, soft sheepskin collar that could be worn up for protection from wind and cold, and also features a traditional button closure across the front.Article number: 14206
