Original period manufacture. An interesting notice of an order, mailed to the Colt Patented Firearms Company of Harford Connecticut in 1883. The sender was G.W. Gemmill Sporting Goods company of Troy NY. They were notifying Colt of an order for two 12 gauge shotgun barrels.Nice little piece of postal history from one of the most famous gunmakers in the world.Typical handling and wear.
