Japanese WWII National Flag, 40 x 56 Inches, Cotton Construction

Original period manufacture. All cotton flag with a sewn Hinomaru at center. Measures 40 x 56 inches, with two reinforced corners with tie strings. In addition, there are two white cotton tabs measuring 1.5 x 3 inches at center. There is a 1.5 inch round hole in the body of the flag near the edge of the red cotton center. Staining from age and wear.
