French M1874 Gras Bayonet, Chatellerault Arsenal 1877

Original era manufacture. A very clean example with a brass pommel and sound wooden grips. T-shaped polished steel blade measuring 21 inches in length, even steel patina finish to the guard. Arsenal marked on the spine, 1877.Dent free blue steel finished scabbard, with minimal light surface corrosion. There are a few minor bumps to the grips, but overall this is a very clean example of this well-made bayonet. Mismatched numbers guard to scabbard.
