Japanese Meiji Era, Army Enlisted Hat

Original era manufacture. Blue wool top, with red wool piping and cap band; brass Army star placed at the front of the hat as shown.Black bound edge visor is securely sewn to the cap body, painted adjustable chinstrap is loose on one side; plain brass securing buttons.Thin black leather sweatband in sound condition, with a floral decorated silk lining with a small pocket inside.There are a few very small moth bites but overall the hat is quite clean; small size of course.
