US Korean War Era, USMC Helmet, Veteran Purchase

Original era manufacture. Purchased from the hands of the man who wore this as an 18 year old Marine in the mid-1950's. Swivel bale, front seam, reflective edge steel helmet with original sewn dark OD canvas chinstraps, and black painted fittings. Period dark OD paint finish with some minor denting to the top of the helmet. First pattern reversible camouflage cover made without the foliage slits, showing a stenciled EGA on each side. High pressure liner made by CAPAC with dark OD webbing material, complete with sweatband and an adjustable nape strap. Looks like a period repaint to the exterior. Sound condition, missing the leather liner chinstrap.
