Original era manufacture. Well made pair of French officer epaulettes from circa 1850, company grade officer, likely a 1st Lieutenant. One is fringed, the other is not which is proper.Single gilded brass button on each, decorated with the number 16. Black wool underlay, with very minor mothing.Maroon colored cardboard storage box with a really great vintage military equipment retailers label from Lyon.Light wear and use for their age, typical handling wear to the storage box.
