European 19th Century Cuirass Back Plate

Original era manufacture. Heavy steel back plate with two lion headed bosses on the shoulders holding the linked chain breast straps in place. No leather backing remaining to the linked straps, old steel patina finish to the backing plate. Quite sound and heavy. Weighs 8 pounds.
