US WWII-Korean War Era, Deputy Secretary of Defense Flag, 6.8 x 12 Feet

Original era manufacture. White, wool bunting flag with a white canvas hoist and metal attachment loops. Maker marked on the hoist, Philadelphia Quartermaster Manufacturing Division, P.Q.M.D. , size marked 6'8' x 12'. The flag is made in several sections of machine sewn construction, with four light blue sewn stars, and a large American eagle sewn to the body of the flag. The eagle, shield and lightening bolts were enhanced during production with painted highlights. There are a few minor holes and stains (very small) and the fabric does not fluoresce under a UV light.
